TWITTER TAXI: Tweetalondoncab gathers momentum

Apart from letting punters find cabs via twitter, get better deals and establish a more meaningful relationship with drivers, this entrepreneurial group of 300+ licensed taxi drivers constantly share traffic issues, roadwork locations, etc with each other. The friendly cabbie I had the pleasure of being driven by could hardly contain his excitement for Echofon – his iPhone twitter app. Much more like someone I’d meet at a tech networking event that the Luddite I had anticipated!

Facebook launches instant smartphone vouchers…not yet in UK though

Facebook has launched a service that allows businesses to offer users deep discounts through its smartphone application.

We had a demo of the new Windows Phone 7 from Oded Ran who is the Head of Consumer Marketing, Windows Phone, Microsoft UK. We think the OS and the user interface is a great innovation and will help Microsoft re-enter the smartphone market and spur Apple & Android on to think hard and innovate faster.
